Use this quick guide to quickly and easily SIM unlock your Android-based Sony Ericsson phone with our 4SE app:

  • Open an account. A 4SE license allowing you to unlock any supported Sony Ericsson Android device costs $15 (other license options are available if you need access for longer).
  • Download the 4SE software. The 4SE client software is the interface you use to perform any instant action on your phone.
  • Install the USB flash drivers. Click your Windows start button, go to programs/applications folder, open 4SE folder, click "Install USBFlash Drivers". Follow the directions to complete installation.
  • Select your model & connect. Select your model from the list on the left - if you are not sure about your model select auto-detect and use "Read Info" to get the model information. With your phone fully charged and powered off, connect by plugging the cable in while holding down the "C" button (Xperia users use the "back" button, Satio users use the green "call" button).
  • Select your service. Click the "Unlock" tab on the right side of the 4SE screen.
  • Make testpoint connection. During the unlock process the 4SE app will ask you to "Link Testpoint And Press OK" - this involves using a paperclip or similar object to make a simple bridge between the phone's test point, located beneath the battery, and a ground point (such as the SIM carriage). Once you've successfully made the testpoint, reconnect the phone with the connection maintained and click "OK", allowing the unlock process to proceed.

  • Note that Xperia Arc S users must leave the battery intact when making the testpoint connection; please follow the instructions supplied by the 4SE software during the unlock

Enjoy your freshly unlocked Android phone!
